RESTORING WILD ATLANTIC SALMON AND THEIR ENVIRONMENT

Wild Atlantic salmon are a keystone species in crisis, having declined by 70% in the last 25 years. The population in Great Britain is now  endangered.

We’re on a mission to restore wild Atlantic salmon and the environment they depend on.

EVIDENCE FOR IMPACT

Large-scale acoustic salmon tracking projects, delivered with partners, are advancing our understanding of wild Atlantic salmon migratory behaviour in-river and at sea, contributing to better management, policy and regulation.

SOLUTIONS & ACTION

Our Core River partnerships put evidence-led, catchment-scale restoration into action, combined with cutting-edge environmental monitoring to demonstrate success over time. These exemplar catchments use wild Atlantic salmon restoration to achieve wider climate and biodiversity goals.
